The Writing Institute (TWI) is Pakistan's largest Creative Writing Institution having taught over 5000 students since January 2017. Based in Lahore, the Institute also offers courses in Karachi and Islamabad. In addition to Creative Writing courses, TWI also offers Essay Writing, English Language and other preparatory courses. There are plans to expand both locally and internationally. The Writing Institute was founded by Awais Khan. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and Durham University. He has studied Creative Writing at Oxford University, Writers Bureau UK and Bishopsgate Institute, London. He has also studied Novel Writing/Editing extensively at the prestigious Faber Academy in London.He has been published in the Missing Slate Magazine among other publications. He was also their Author of the Month and his Interview with the same magazine appeared in October 2016. In 2017, he won 2nd place in a major Short Story Competition. His first novel was edited by Hazel Orme (former editorial services director at Pan Macmillan) in London. He is represented by Annette Crossland and Bill Goodall from the A for Authors Literary Agency, London.His work has been recognized and documented by various media outlets including Samaa TV, Maverick Media, FF Magazine to name a few. He has over ten years of teaching experience.
