The Theater District is the premier cultural and entertainment center in Houston, comprising seven world-renowned performing arts organizations in four stunning venues—Jones Hall, Wortham Theater Center, Alley Theater and Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Theater District Houston promotes the arts and culture organizations, performance venues, events, individuals, and businesses within the geographic area defined as Houston's Theater District.Houston is one of only five cities in the United States that boasts permanent, professional resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines. Houston's Theater District spans 17 blocks, and its four flagship theaters house 13,000 seats.
