In late summer 2008, beloved San Francisco writer and performer Jeffrey Hartgraves brought together a group of artists to bring his dream of forming his own theatre company to life. Theatre Shark was born... Jeffrey passed away in September 2008, but the artists of Theatre Shark -- who share Jeffrey's enthusiasm for creating meaningful, satisfying, entertaining theatre – are keeping his dream alive not only as a tribute to him, but as a way to share his philosophy that theatre is not exclusively for the well-heeled society-page crowd, or lovers of fringe performance in emerging neighborhoods. "We are a collaborative group of performers, writers, artists, musicians, and technicians, inspired by the late artist Jeffrey Hartgraves' fearless vision, irreverent wit and wicked style. Sharing our expertise and eccentricities, we will create new works, reinterpret classics, and explore the horizons of technology while challenging ourselves to be astonishing, unexpected, slightly unsettling."
