TheHakkas was born from the passion to make the unknown visible and palpable. We believe that the best ideas that will change humanity come from the invisible, the unexpected: we only see 4% of the universe, the other 96% is composed of dark energy and dark matter. It means that what constitutes the largest proportion of the universe's mass and energy is inaccessible to our primary senses. These ideas don't exist yet but will in the future. Our goal is to embark in a collective adventure to mine, make these ideas surface and become reality. We do this by creating a space for local communities to connect, explore, experiment and implement their ideas and projects.Our purpose is to harvest the collective strengths and resources to explore and experiment concepts and designs for positive social and environmental impact and change.In our work, we practice human-centered design, a creative approach to problem solving that starts with people and arrives at new solutions tailored to meet their lives.TheHakkas is a Non-for-Profit based in Melbourne and we run the following activities:- Blog and knowledge sharing- Networking events- keynote talks- Learning workshops- Explorative and experimentation programs
