Therapy in action opened its doors in 2010 in Stellenbosch. The partners at that stage recognised the need for a multidisciplinary team approach combining the expertise of both Physio and Occupational Therapy. We saw the benefit of combining our services to obtain the best results for our clients. whilst facilitating earlier return to work.We initially honed our services in hand and work-related injuries which inadvertently led to an established gym and work hardening area, cardiovascular equipments and simulated work activities. By providing different services at the same practice we were able to improve communication, goal planning and rehabilitation outcomes. This in turn further assisted our patients by lessoning their travel time and expenses.In June 2013 we expended our services to Somerset West also making our services available to the Helderberg ad Overberg districts. Our rehabilitation statistics continued to reflect promising recovery and earlier to work time frames to a wider area.We were also fortunate to welcome a Psychologist ad Biokineticist to our team in association to our services and we expanded our service to include more private clients especially in term of sport injuries and chronic pain conditions. Our service provision to insurance providers and corporate clients expanded and we increased our assessment expertise in work related conditions and -illnesses involving psychosocial and cognitive sequelae as well.Our team and services continue to strengthen and grow year after year and we welcome the challenges of keeping up to date with the newest research, rehabilitation techniques and equipment available.
