Therapy Pets Unlimited is a non-profit therapy pet organization founded in 2014 and is based in Baltimore, Maryland. We are a volunteer-run organization that brings therapy pets to those in need, including nursing homes, hospitals, schools, assisted living, and other organizations. Our mission is "easing grief, stress, and loneliness within the community through friendly pet visits." We have 300+ pets, and are eager to find more passionate pet owners to act as volunteers. Volunteering consists of getting your pet certified as a "therapy pet" by one of our pet evaluators, and then bringing your pet to different facilities to help individuals at those facilities. We're also looking for pet evaluators to assist with certifying pets as "therapy pets." Lastly, we're looking to get connected with more organization/facilities who would like to bring in "therapy pets" for their residents/patients.We love bringing our pets to different organizations to help bring smiles to peoples faces. Getting an opportunity to see that interaction, and the impact it has, is priceless.
