TheSys is an engineering company that specializes in thermo engineering. Our core competence lies in design and optimization of cooling circuits for the automobile sector but includes other sectors such as electronic equipment cooling or industrial waste heat recovery. We have a range of simulation tools to help us develop heat exchangers or improve current designs, ranging from 0D-optimization to 1D-circuit simulation (including heat exchangers, pumps, fans, condensers, etc.) to CAD-design and 3D-CFD optimization. Coming from our automobile background we have an excellent understanding of cooling fluids and have a laboratory equipped with state of the art tools to examine coolant deterioration and heat exchanger contamination. Currently we are excited to explore the capabilities of 3D-printed heat exchangers and the consequences of introducing them into existing systems. As experts of thermodynamic perfomance predicition, we develop AM heat exchangers and are able to introduce them into our existing cooling circuit models. Due to our vast experience from the automobile sector, we further investigate the influence of residual powder on cooling liquids. As a first result we were able to tackle the problem of powder removal and have developed a cleaning fluid that is now being examined for field testing.
