The Thetford story all started when Mr. Frank Sargent (US) invented a camping toilet in the early sixties, which would be the base of our world-famous Porta Potti. We did not only invent the Porta Potti, Thetford is also the first manufacturer and inventor of the Cassette Toilet, which is now being used in most of the RV's world-wide. \\Next to toilets, Thetford is a global leader in RV Refrigeration, Cooking Appliances, Service Doors and Toilet Care Products. \\Thetford has 1000 employees world-wide, including 15 in Australia. We supply from our local warehouse in Melbourne to most of the Australian manufacturers.
