Hi, my name is Byron (the Werito) and this is my legacy! My love for international cuisine started as a young child growing up in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The Hispanic influences I was surrounded by as well as being an American gave me a very different perspective on the different flavors of life and food. Until now, I was never given the opportunity to attend chef school, but I am embracing it! I have had many experiences and adventures including my service in the United States Navy. During my time in the Navy I was able to travel around the world from Japan to Australia sampling many culinary treats. I have always loved cooking with many different flavors and cuisines from around this world. Now living in Peru, I am married to an amazing Peruvian woman. She is an inspiration, challenging me to never ever give up until I have achieved all my goals and mine was to be a chef! Now, let me explain more about my show! I grew up with many different Hispanic influences with my family and I have always been called "Wero" or Gringo or Guero by them! So, this name stuck and I wanted to make a fusion of this name. These experiences brought me to new adventure – "The Werito Show" which is now being picked up by Tigo Tv a Peruvian cable channel here in Lima Peru, to be aired soon. Before it begins, I believe that every small business and restaurant should be given the opportunity to have a voice! I believe in bringing a voice to small businesses that share a common goal.
