Third Option Foundation provides support to surviving children and families of the CIA Special Activities Center (SAC) and offers medical services for active-duty operators, family resiliency and behavioral health services for operators and their families, and transition support for separating operators. Founded during WWII as part of the Office of Strategic Services, SAC has shouldered an unprecedented burden in the advancement of our nation's security including a nearly unprecedented casualty rate in the war on terror. The majority of the stars displayed on the Memorial Wall at CIA headquarters honor lives lost within the ranks of SAC. The enormity of this responsibility has never been more evident than today given the wide-ranging and complex threats facing our country and the world.
