Hi, I'm Marisa, photographer and founder of This is Life Photography. Meeting new people and sharing their stories through photographs has captivated me since I was young. I took my love of photography to a technical level during my studies at Arizona State University, and I graduated from the Herberger Institute with a BFA in Fine Art Photography in 2005. As the photography editor for the State Press, ASU's newspaper, I developed a keen eye for editorial photographs and the skills to become a professional photographer.When my mom passed away, the importance of tangible memory became a strong influence in my work. I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others preserve their personal histories to pass from generation to generation, and I started This is Life Photography in 2007. My beautiful daughter, Madison, and my amazing partner, Steve, support and inspire me in the pursuit of my passion.I want to tell your unique story in pictures. I shoot on location, specializing in the use of natural light.
