Thomas & Lillian is owned by family, operated by family, and all of our products are created by family. This is how it all began: As parents, we are always looking for the things that spark curiosity, imagination, wonder, and intrigue in our own children. When they are fascinated — when the look on their face makes it clear they have wandered into a faraway and magical place — we know we've succeeded, and look for more.We had a theme for our first child's room, but couldn't find anything other than mass-produced mobiles from a major manufacturer. That's when we took an idea to Barb — the artist in the family — and simply asked, "Can you make that?"Of course she could. And she did it again for our second child. That's when people started to take notice.A friend saw the mobiles and asked, "How can I get one of those?" Then another friend, and her friend. By the fifth request, we were sketching out ideas for a zoo-full of mobiles, and by the tenth time, we were creating prototypes.Our approach and intention is simple – we LOVE creating mobiles and ornaments for children and dreamers of all ages, which are also physically and environmentally safe. There are three of us working on our products at all times – Tom (the husband), Merry Beth (the wife), and Barb (the mother/mother-in-law).Our standard mobiles are popular, but we know that every family, and every child, has their own personality and favorite animals or ideas.
