Thorsten Roth is a New York City based Photographer and VideoDirector.He grew up in Germany where he studied Visual Communication/Photo-Film-Design at the FH Bielefeld also known as "Die Bielefelder Schule", an off-spring of the Bauhaus Movement.His creative style has been molded by his multi-cultural experience pillared on German expressionism, French impressionism and American pragmatism.In 2003 the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C accepted T.Roth's portfolio of the portrait-work of famous American Jazz-Musicians that he photographed during his 12 year stay in in Paris from 1990-2002. A limited edition of this 55 silver gelatin prints portfolio was produced recently in NYC.In 2006 an exhibition of the artist's transcending portraits of boxers took place in the world-famous boxing Gym Gleason's in Brooklyn NY. Besides numerous publications the boxing-brand Everlast featured him in their Magazine.Limited print-editions are available for sale. Contact us!
