We started making chilli sauce just over a year ago – and it was so good we formed a company to sell it! We are Thousand Hills Ltd, named after the traditional name for the country where our recipes originate: Rwanda.The high-altitude, verdant and spectacular landscape of Rwanda is formed of rich volcanic soil, perfect for growing the best fruit, vegetables, tea and coffee in the world. No dining table in Rwanda is complete without a pot of family-made chilli sauce, and these are the recipes we want to bring to the UK.Thousand Hills is owned and run by Stephanie Kayirangwa, a Rwandan now living in the UK, and Natt Boarer, a Brit who spent seven years living and working in Rwanda. We produce Tomato Chilli (typically mild), Garlic Chilli (medium hot) and Pure Chilli (HOT!!!) sauces, based on Rwandan recipes and perfectly suited to all your needs.As well as manufacturing chilli sauces, we import African products from Africa including gluten-free cassava flour and delicious red-skinned peanuts.
