Three Legged Cat Productions is a premier production company, specializing in DVD special features, EPKs, sizzle reels, and specials for broadcast and the web.Based in Los Angeles, CA and London, England, it was one of the first production companies to specialize in DVD. Many of Three Legged Cat's titles have won awards and helped set the standard for the special edition format.Three Legged Cat founder Mark Rance started producing special edition laserdiscs at Criterion in 1990 and moved to producing DVD content in 1997, the beginning of the DVD craze. Three Legged Cat served as the vendor for New Line, producing most of their titles from 1997-1999. By 1999, Three Legged Cat was producing DVD content for all the major studios, and continues to do so today.Three Legged Cat continues to work with many prominent filmmakers, including Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, Paul Thomas Anderson, Alex Proyas and John Waters.In 2006, Three Legged Cat became part of Watchmaker Films, a unique restoration and distribution company.
