Aerospace/Defense - Wichita, KS, US
Three Way Pattern is a small, family-owned tool and die machine shop primarily serving the aerospace industry. We provide high quality production tooling used for the manufacture of many types of sheet metal and composite parts and assemblies. Our quality manual is patterned after the ISO 9002 standard and meets the tooling requirements of our varied aerospace customers. We utilize many different means of inspection from standard scales, calipers, micrometers and height guages up to the sophistication of our FARO Platinum Arm Portable Measuring Machine to inspect our products to engineering drawings, plotted mylars, or MBD digital models. Three Way Pattern started in the late 1960's with three men moonlighting as plaster/fiberglass pattern makers out of a residential garage. When neighbors began complaining about the odors of the curing resins and chemicals, the three men decided to incorporate and bought a building in an industrial zoned area of Wichita, KS and Three Way Pattern was born. Since then, Three Way Pattern has evolved with the changing technologies and manufacturing trends into a full scale machine shop while still holding on to many of the time-tested, traditional methods of layout and pattern work. Meeting or beating quality and delivery expectations has been of utmost importance throughout the life of the company and continues today. Through the cyclical ups and downs of the aircraft industry, Three Way Pattern's employee base has grown and shrunk from as many as 25 employees to as little as 4. For the last 10 years the company's ownership has been held solely by one family and has managed to maintain an average workforce of approximately 10 skilled personnel through the same time period. A third of the workforce has been employed at Three Way for 20 years or more. With that kind of experience and constant teamwork, the company is able to continue delivering exceptional tools at an exceptional value.
