We co-founded Thurgood Advisors after decades of experience in the federal pretrial services and probation system. We now work as consultants in the area of pretrial and community corrections programs in our home state of Virginia. Our basic approach is to interview key people, directly observe work, analyze data, and examine available local written guidance. We then put together an objective report of the state of your pretrial or community corrections program, and make recommendations to close any gaps between current services provided and those required by the Administrative Code of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.
