Idea for ‘Til We Meet Again began in the early 90's when one of our founding partners attended the funeral of a teenage boy who he met while volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during high school and college. It was frustrating to see a vibrant young man who was an inspiration to others living with neuromuscular disease lying in a very traditional casket that did not represent the life he had lived. He loved the color red, his friends and the time spent at MDA camp each year. Later, while sitting in a boring business meeting, Nathan drew his first custom casket, a race car casket. He tucked it away, but an idea was born. Life went on but the idea remained and it grew. Over the years custom caskets began to make their way into the market, with the majority of sales generated through the internet. In March of 2010 the first custom casket store to ever be placed in a super regional mall opened at Towne West Square in Wichita, KS. The response has been amazing! The number one comment we have heard is that no one knew that our product even existed. This is usually followed by, "I wish I had known about this a few years ago. My father/mother/loved one would have loved to have something like this."
