Launched in 2009, Timu provides a social networking platform for amateur athletes and sports teams at Timu.com Sports teams can create a free team site on Timu which allows them to share schedules, rosters, game results, statistics and team highlights. Individual athletes, coaches, parents and fans can interact within the team site or through individual sports profiles on Timu. Timu was founded by Matt Heaton, the former CEO and Co-Founder of ActiveRain Corp, the largest social network in the real estate industry.
