tiny_Theatre is a way to share the love of live performance and the art form of theatre in the digital age. We offer a variety of experiences: from team-building original murder mysteries on AirBnB to free weekly readings from well-respected playwrights from all around the globe on FB Live. This new award-winning (named Best New Theatre 2021 by Florida Weekly) experiment was created by married team Rachel Burttram & Brendan Powers, both professional union actors and theatre-makers. In March 2020, they converted their back bedroom closet into a magical play-making space with a string of lights, an old Ikea curtain & a makeshift tripod and the play readings began. Soon a community of fellow theatre-makers, playwrights and theatre-lovers began faithfully tuning in to their readings. In June of 2020, after a webinar between the Actors Fund and AirBnB, the couple began writing their first online interactive curiosity WHO KILLED ZOLAN MIZE? Since it has been a best seller and has received rave reviews by Fortune 500 corporate teams, small business happy hours, birthdays, even a dedicated group of cub scouts! Our community of tiny_Friends continues to grow with new friends tuning in for play readings and new bookings for our interactive experiences on AirBnB! You use zoom for work, but we use zoom for PLAY! We hope to see you with us at the "theatre!"
