Our business has been operating as The Tire Exchange since 1926. In the Carolinas our most well-known owner was J. Verne Smith. In 2008, Scott Strong and his partner Will Dennis purchased the business and particularly dedicated themselves to preserve the integrity of the name and the quality of the service. At present, Scott Strong is the owner and President of Tire Exchange of the Carolinas dba as The Tire Exchange. \Scott Strong has almost two decades of experience in the tire business. He has spent most of those years with Consolidated Tires more recently known as Snider Tire. Scott is a SC native born in Anderson, SC, graduating from T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, and attending Anderson University. His grandfather Carl Singleton was locally well-known for his frame and wheel alignment business in Anderson, SC and was Scott's mentor. Scott literally started at the bottom and worked his way up. For years, he worked with Welborn Tire in Anderson, SC and learned the tire business with more experience at Goodyear in Greenville, SC. After years working at Consolidated and now Snider, Scott has a well established reputation for hard work, friendliness, and integrity. \Our stores have customers who have been repeat customers for over 40 years. We also have employees with extensive experience.
