TMW is a start-up, founded in 1999, which develops and commercializes seawater desalination technology: MHD – Multistage Humidification-Dehumidification technologyTo date, TMW is the only French start-up developing desalination technology.Everything began with the inventor, Jean-Paul Domen, who filed an initial patent in 1998. Very quickly, a group of investors backed his project and set the goal of designing a simple yet robust system. TMW was born.TMW reinvents water desalination and offers drinking water access to as many people as possible.In France, however, seawater desalination needs are limited. As such, TMW thought of another use for MHD technology which would help reduce the industrial footprint on the environment: wastewater concentration.
