Todd Bertolaet is a professor emeritus of photography in The School of Journalism and Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. Todd has taught photography and art at Clear Creek Secondary School, Idaho Springs, Colorado, Brevard Community College (Eastern Florida State College), Cocoa, FL, Pensacola State College, Utah State University, Florida State University and Florida A&M University. Todd was recognized by Utah State University, College of Continuing Education for his service as one of the university's "Flying Professors". Among the various grants and fellowships he has received, Todd was awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Memorial Fellowship along with three Individual Artist Fellowships from The State of Florida, Division of Cultural Affairs. The University Press of Florida published a monograph of his work entitled Crescent Rivers, Waterways of Florida's Big Bend. His work is included in several collections and has been exhibited in over two hundred juried, invitational, group and solo exhibitions. Todd graduated from Huron High School, Ann Arbor, Michigan in June 1972 and received a BFA in photography and fine art in June 1979 and an MFA in photography and fine art in June 1982 both from Utah State University.Todd has been photographing since 1971.
