Guitarist/singer Todd Wolfe's music is deeply rooted in the blues origins of artists such as B.B. and Freddie King, Otis Rush and Buddy Guy, but amped up with an energy level that recalls guitarists Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and Eric Clapton.The Todd Wolfe Band recall the days when "men were men and amps were amps", real tubes crackling with a bluesdelic sound reminiscent of the best rock and roll bands of the 60's and 70's! This band jams and rocks but their music is deeply soaked in blues. Todd's eighth release "Miles To Go" since his guitar-strumming, co-writing days with Sheryl Crow will be released in Europe in April and North America in August. Eight originals, from the wistful ballad "I Stand Alone" to the Reggae tinged "Come What May" instrumental to the foot-stomping "Sunnyvale" covers several roots genres including a bitter-sweet blues "Stay With Me Baby". The album includes two covers, the old blues classic "Forty-four" and George Harrison's "The Inner Light"Todd and band are out promoting the new album, "Miles To Go" with seven weeks in Europe and another seven weeks though Canada and the USAHittin' the Note magazine described the band thusly: "Imagine some power trio mixed into a Texas blues foundation and overlaid with trippy psychedelia – that's the essence of Wolfe's music."
