Toilet Twinning is a unique, quirky way to support people for whom good, clean safe sanitation is a luxury and not a given. Lack of basic sanitation is one of the ways that extreme poverty affects a person's daily life and 1 in 4 people do not have access to a simple loo. A fundraising arm of Tearfund, an international relief and development NGO and a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), Toilet Twinning raises more than £1m per year to support Tearfund's £5m+ water and sanitation programme and raises awareness of the sanitation crisis facing the world's poor.
