His studio, located near downtown Truckee is filled with the big hearty scents of freshly cut wood and you'll notice right away the depth of his skills by the projects he is working on. Tom's teaching expertise is also apparent as he explains complicated concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. His gentle demeanor and open and accessible style allows him to build great relationships with his students as he encourages them to explore their creative side. He is dedicated to passing on the knowledge he has received from the many fine teachers and masters of the trade who have taught him over the years.
