Four young entrepreneurs from Amsterdam organized a massive tomato fight on the Dam (central square) in Amsterdam: Tomatofest. After the Russian boycott on Dutch produce many growers faced large surpluses. More than 1500 enthusiasts gathered on the central square and used more than 200.000 rejected tomatoes to support our growers in an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, we collected all the pulp and brought it to a biogas facility which turned it into green energy.Featured on the frontpage of the largest national newspaper, BBC, Fox News, The Moscow Times, Mashable, BuzzFeed, Time Magazine, The Economist and many other international news outlets.
