The company Antiche tessiture lucchesi, is a small Italian handcraft and one of the last remaining in the textile manufacturing sector. Collecting the last weavers in the area, and restoring many ancient abandoned looms the company was initially born with the desire to bring to light and preserve the textile tradition of the territory of Lucca, in the past one of the largest European centres in the production and trade of fine fabrics.The Loomworks project began with the idea of reworking the tradition giving life to a line of hand woven products unique and of the highest quality. Scarves, stole and clothes created specifically to give the maximum emphasis to the peculiarities of the handmade fabric, using only the finest Italian yarns. Each product is made by hand by experienced craftsmen in our laboratories in Italy.Only the highest quality yarns are used, produced exclusively by Italian companies.Almost all of the fibers used are of natural origin and have not undergone any chemical mercerization processes; in addition to creating very pleasant tactile sensations this makes many of our fabrics almost totally hypoallergenic.We pay great attention to the origin of the fibres, always preferring raw materials grown and extracted according to biological and eco-sustainable working methods.
