This lab gathers research scientists, urban designers, and entrepreneurs to create sustainable, livable, and entrepreneurial communities by leveraging quantitative simulations and analysis beyond the urban interface.同济大学-麻省理工上海城市科学实验室（City Science Lab @ Shanghai）是由同济大学上海国际设计创新学院与麻省理工学院媒体实验室共同建立，联合实验室聚焦于未来可持续生活方式和产业转型，针对城市交通、智慧生活、社区营造等重点领域，与产业和资本紧密合作，共同推动创新研发和孵化加速，实质贡献上海"四新"经济和科创中心建设。实验室目前与麻省理工以创新项目为依托开展联合研究，共同探索未来的城市出行方式和可持续的社区生活方式，通过对大规模数据的建模与分析以支持设计、科技和产业的创新与转型。同济大学-麻省理工学院上海城市科学实验室（CSL）的主要研究方向包括：城市科学、数字孪生、智慧社区等。
