Toronto Urban Exchange (TUX) is a new kind of institution in Toronto. It advocates and supports greater community involvement in the city's planning process and increases awareness of planning and how planning affects the everyday lives of residents. By providing open, accessible and friendly spaces for learning, collaboration and innovation, TUX fosters positive change in how we understand, build and experience our city. TUX aspires to:- Foster a culture of increased public awareness and participation in Toronto's neighbourhood and city-wide planning processes- Improve planning literacy at the local scale- Support local individuals and organizations interested in and/or dedicated to urban social planning and design issues- Foster innovation in urban planning and design- Improve the outcomes of the planning process in the city
