It was New Year's Eve, 2015 and I used my detachable strap on my purse to save our chairs while we danced. The next day I had an epiphany and decided to make a prototype of my brain child, a stylish theft deterrent device for purses, luggage and bags. Tote Tether was born! I spent the next year and 4 months designing, researching, writing a script for a video, testing the products and had found a local, charitable manufacturer for them. Then tragedy struck on May 11th, 2017 when my 18 year old son took his own life. Then nothing. My son's name is Guy, which mean warrior in French. Guy had to be a warrior for most of his life due to having a mild learning disability (borderline Asperger's Syndrome). He had to battle bullies, his own mind, and some outside influences for his whole short life. He worked hard, had a great sense of humor, was respectful and loving, kickboxed and graduated high school "like a boss" as he would say! He was a warrior in our eyes. We all need to "Warrior Up" and defend those who are different, alone or depressed. It is now 2019 and I have been through the worst of that horrible nightmare. I work part time and need to pick up the pieces of Tote Tether. I am in the process of designing a Tote Tether dedicated to Guy's memory and all proceeds from the sale of those Tote Tether's will support Suicide Prevention and Awareness and the Autism Spectrum. In the meantime, please feel free to let me know if you would like to try out this ingenious and stylish device! Custom orders can be done and I would be happy to make one for someone special!Thank you so much for your time and interest!Blessings,Jill Marks
