Masses of small charities that work so hard on a voluntary basis have been severely affected in the economic downturn as a result of COVID-19. ToyAid is a movement within the toy-and-entertainment industry that aims to support these smaller charities that every day and every year specifically support disadvantaged children and young people - and their families that are most in need. For the month of June 2020, ToyAid will be running a campaign asking consumers to "Buy Some Toys for Make Some Noise"*. The aim is to ask our industry to raise as much money as we can to help individuals and families hit hardest by the pandemic in our communities. We will do this through minimum pledges from toy-and-entertainment companies and money from the sales of ‘Toy Aid-able' toys, video games, entertainment products, licensing fees and business services. ToyAid is supporting Global's Make Some Noise which is the registered charity of Global, the media group, owners of Heart, Capital, LBC, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X and Gold. *About the charity: Global's Make Some Noise Global's Make Some Noise is a national charity, established in 2014, which funds projects and small charities across the UK with a focus on disadvantaged children, young people and their families. To date we have helped change the lives of more than 73,000 disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. In the light of the current situation, Global's Make Some Noise is supporting individuals and families hit hardest by coronavirus in our communities. Our projects include vital work across bereavement, domestic abuse, mental health, young carers, illness, disability, poverty and more.
