At all times.TracID was founded in 2005 as a merger between three different Norwegian initiatives all aiming at utilizing RFID technology within the oil and gas industry. Following a 5-year joint industry project between TracID, Statoil, ENI and ConocoPhillips, the company entered into a frame agreement with Statoil in May 2012 for roll-out of lifecycle tracking system for drill pipe for Statoil's operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The largest shareholders in TracID are Statoil Venture (41%) and Northzone (15%).
