T4C is a community event that was started in early 2016 when two friends, Katrina Hamilton and Natalie Carling, decided to use their energy and personal networks to give something back to important social causes, whilst also having a lot of fun along the way. Sharing a passion for running and the outdoors, the idea of a trail challenge quickly emerged and MedEarth was approached to be the charity partner. The inaugural event in 2016 saw a small group of Challengers successfully complete the full 100km Great Ocean Walk (GOW) trail whilst importantly raising $25,000 for MedEarth. A number of our foundation participants returned in 2017 together with a few T4C virgins and this time took on the GOW in reverse while doubling the fundraising to over $50,000. In 2018 the event will be held on the beaches and coastal trails of the Surf Coast – covering trails north and south of Anglesea in Victoria.
