Training for Life is a social enterprise based charity that works with disadvantaged people who face bearers to work and have become trapped in relative poverty through worklesness. We work with people for whom government sponsored generic 'welfare to work' programmes rarely provide effective support. Our apprenticeship programmes provide paid, practical and personalised work-based learning. They are unique in that they combine vocational training, real paid work and personal support within commercial environments. We enable our apprentices to break away from their dependency on state benefits by earning a living wage, developing vocational and personal skills, self-belief and aspirations, gaining qualifications and securing sustainable jobs.
