Transcript Pharmacy is a dually-accredited specialty pharmacy, providing services for patients with long-term medical needs. These include patients with: • Solid Organ or Bone Marrow Transplants, • Hepatitis C, • Rheumatoid Arthritis, • Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, • Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis, • Multiple Sclerosis, • Patients being treated with Oral Oncolytics for various cancers, and • Other conditions. By focusing our scope of services on these patient populations, our staff can provide the highest level of service and expertise possible. We have a strong value proposition for healthcare team members. We assist them in navigating the prior authorization process when allowed by insurers. We offer personal communication with patients, resulting in improved adherence and better outcomes. By encouraging compliance with prescribed therapies, we help to ensure positive treatment outcomes. Our most recent Virginia Commonwealth University study revealed that our "high touch" patient care resulted in the average patient receiving more than 90% of scheduled refills over a one year period for all three studied disease states, Hepatitis C, Crohn's and Rheumatoid Arthritis! Historically, Transcript first marketed its services by developing relationships with the staff of key regional specialty clinics and treatment centers. While this work continues, beginning in 2007, we began to market our services directly to managed care payors and other third parties. Currently, we have specialty pharmacy provider contracts with several regional and national payors and are in discussions that we hope will result in additional contracts. Transcript Pharmacy bills Medicare Parts B and D, Medicaid and Commercial Insurance Plans. We participate in most major PBM and Medicare Part D retail pharmacy networks. We currently bill Medicaid fee-for-service plans in nine states. We hold Board of Pharmacy permits in all 50 states.
