Transparent Sky is an R&D company that develops advanced real-time imaging applications. Its main product development is the WAMICam, a small, portable, affordable Wide Area Motion Imaging (WAMI) system that provides geo-registered video-like imagery covering very large areas for long periods of time. The WAMICam can be strapped into any small aircraft and put into service very quickly. Transparent Sky has built similar systems for small drones and the company has even built its first small spacecraft using its processing capabilities. The basis of Transparent Sky's work is an in-house developed API called Red River that provides an optimized CPU/GPU system for the entire pipeline including image capture, metadata handling, gimbal control, autopilot guidance, image registration, projection, database generation, distribution, and viewing. This system can run in real-time and it can also be used in a playback mode for later analysis. Transparent Sky is also in close partnership with the University of Missouri's award-winning technologies in dense 3D reconstruction and automated tracking. Transparent Sky can provide systems or services to customers seeking the unique situational awareness that comes from seeing an entire large city area in motion. Possible applications include crowd control, traffic studies, forensic crime solving, emergency response, disaster relief, and major events.
