TreeProject is a non-profit, volunteer-based organisation leading the way in sustainable re-vegetation throughout Victoria. Since 1989, TreeProject has facilitated the growing and planting of more than 2 million trees into the Victorian Landscape through volunteer and community-based initiatives. Our most recent 20/21 distribution has seen TreeProject prepare and distribute kits to facilitate the growth of 90 000 trees. TreeProject gets urban and rural communities working together to put native trees back on the land. Our network of trained volunteers propagate and care for seedlings of indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses in their own backyards for rural landholders and landcare groups who need our help with revegetation. What we doTrain volunteers to propagate indigenous trees, shrubs and grassesSupport landholders to repair degraded land by providing at-cost indigenous plantsLink city and country people to work together to tackle erosion, improve soil and water quality, and restore ecosystemsProvide training and support for anyone in the community growing indigenous seedlingsDevelop skills and knowledge – building capacity in the community – for propagating Indigenous seedlingsFoster community engagement through practical, achievable and enduring environmental projectsProvide special project support through The TreeProject NurseryRaise awareness of the importance of revegetation
