Trellis is the first, research-based, practice-focused, long-term program for the recruitment, education, support, retention, and development of outstanding STEM teachers in California. 6 years of training & support for beginning teachers that: • Grants a cleared, single-subject teaching credential, Master's Degree, and National Board Certification in a secondary STEM field • Provides extra, subsidized support in first two years for part-time teaching • Includes 5 years of targeted coaching by expert teacher educators • Focuses on core practices known to help students learn best • Is differentiated to teachers' developing needs • Focuses on a blend of theory, knowledge, and practice • Has embedded expectations for continued professional learning • Creates a growing corps of exceptional, committed STEM teachers inspiring more kids to love and pursue STEM
