Trievel Autism Center (TAC) offers a social environment where members can connect with others and experience a sense of community. TAC focuses on each member's strengths and interests allowing them to pursue friendships and new experiences. TAC encourages members to discover their passions and reach their fullest potential.Laura Clark and Tara Trievel founded the organization in hopes to provide a needed resource to highly functional adults on the autism spectrum. Laura is the mother of an adult son diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 28. She joined Tara to start this nonprofit in an effort to create a path for her son and so many others like him to reach their fullest potential in life. Tara is the Educational Director at 2 Be Social, a company that teaches social competency skills to people of all ages who have social communication difficulties. She is eager to share her expertise with adults on the spectrum to guide them in their quest for a happy, fulfilled life. Laura and Tara strongly believe in the 4 Steps Up to achieve personal independence: socialization, sense of community, competitive employment, and successfully living independently.
