Religious Groups - N/A, N/A, US
Trinity is a congregation of The United Methodist Church that has grown from 18 members in 1820 to over 1,000 members today. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our desire is to love God above all things, and our neighbors as ourselves. Our mission is a lifelong journey. To accomplish God’s mission requires a community of faith that is supportive, loving, and peace making. We serve our community, locally and globally, through projects that include: sandwich making for local homeless, collecting needed items to send to local organizations that focus on helping the hungry, the homeless, and the sick. We also send useful household items and clothing to Honduras. We have also sent mission teams to Appalachia, Honduras, and into Washington, D. C. Our weekly worship of God is Sundays at 8:30 a.m. with weekly communion and 10:30 a.m. with choir and monthly communion. We have a communion service on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. our Celtic Service is on the last Sunday of the month at 5 p.m. in the Chapel. Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m. for children, youth and adults. There are additional educational offerings for adults during the week. We pray that you will visit us and find your new church family here in McLean.
