The TROIA Robotics Team, which stands for Technology, Robotics, Optimization and Artificial Intelligence, is a non-profit team that designs, develops and produces robots, formed by students from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). Our main objective is to participate in robotic competitions of an educational nature, aiming at improving learning and gaining professional experience. Competitions, in general, serve as a means of stimulating creativity, acquiring knowledge and several other essential qualities for a good professional, such as proactivity, leadership, empathy, teamwork, work under strong pressure and stress, management of time and failure prediction. All of this aiming at application in the diverse opportunities present in academic, professional and daily life in general. Currently, the team already competes in almost all robot categories existing in the competitions, being: Antweight (454 g), Beetleweight (1.36 Kg), Hobbyweight (5.44 Kg), Featherweight (13.6 Kg), Lightweight (27,2 Kg), Hockey Pro, Follow Line, Mini-Sumo and Robot Football. In eight years of history, we have accumulated more than 30 national and international trophies and titles.
