After thirty-six years of presenting literacy through the arts programs in schools, the co-founders, and the Board of Directors feel that the time is right for Troubadour, Inc. to close the doors and gracefully take our bows at the end of June 2016.Mission StatementTroubadour improves Massachusetts students' literacy and academic achievement through arts-integrated literacy instruction. We empower teachers by giving them dynamic strategies to strengthen instructional practices in the literary arts.An organization made up of passionate artists and educators, Troubadour subscribes to the belief that all learners deserve a well-rounded education that recognizes their individual learning styles, values their right to creative expression, and ignites their imaginations with high-interest, authentic content. Our classroom writing workshops are infused with poetry, songwriting, prose, movement, drama and storytelling, and are tailored to the literacy needs of each group of learners, grades pre-K through eight.
