The Tunisian Association for Wildlife (ATVS) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, aims to study and promote biodiversity on a national and international scale through an ecosystemic approach for conservation, awareness-raising purposes and sustainable development. In order to concretize this vision, the association has defined the following 3 objectives:The contribution to the establishment of a qualitative and quantitative inventory of national and international biodiversity.Valorization and biodiversity conservation through an ecosystemic approach.Raising awareness of the public on the importance of biodiversity.ATVS's team consists of 13 members; it includes a 7-year expertise in the Mediterranean conservation and arid ecosystems, a 10-year expertise in entomological taxonomy coupled with the largest private collection of insects in Tunisia comprising more than 15,000 specimens but also young multidisciplinary researchers: Botany, Macroalgae, Reptiles, Mammals, Arachnids, Heritage and Socio-economics.
