TurnerHacks Details
TurnerHacks is an annual student-led event based in Turner Fenton Secondary School, which is dedicated to serving high school students across the Greater Toronto Area. This event is devoted to ensuring that students with an interest in the areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) can implement their brilliant ideas and turn them into a reality. The inaugural event starts with participants being given a topic or problem, for which they develop a solution for and share with a panel of judges. There are also a variety of workshops, activities, and guest speakers to engage the hackers. Participants come together and use technology/coding to create and innovate, or simply to network with like-minded individuals, make new friends, and leave with a better understanding of technology.
