Am I saving enough and making the right investments? Am I running my private practice efficiently? Am I making smart tax moves? How do I balance my desire to help as many people as possible with my need to provide for myself financially? Should I grow my private practice, and if so, how? What should I do about this emerging sense of burnout? What is it I plan to do with my one wild and precious life? These are some of the questions I help therapists navigate. At Turning Point, I help therapists use their financial resources to lead authentic, fulfilling and meaningful lives. Tending to our finances is a critical element of self-care. For that reason, I practice Financial Life Planning the same way Pema Chödrön suggests we practice meditation: by being gentle, precise and open. We gently look at your financial life, letting go of any shame or judgment you might be holding. We look with precision, being very clear about what is going right and what might need some improvement. Finally, we are open to whatever comes up, both factually and emotionally. Openness also refers to the willingness to let go: working to let go of limiting beliefs or behaviors which no longer serve you.Turning Point Planning LLC is an Investment Advisor registered with the State of California.
