Retail - Billerica, Massachusetts, United States
Located in the Town of Billerica, just North of Boston and on the beautiful Nuttings Lake, the Turnpike Market was first opened by the MacLennan family as a butcher shop catering to local residents in the 1920's. Years later when they started introducing their sandwiches (with fresh meats sliced daily) the store quickly became a summer outing place for many people from the Boston suburbs and were well known as having the Best subs in Billerica. Then in 1961 Turnpike Market became the first location in the Town of Billerica to obtain a liquor a license and began selling Beer, Wine and Spirits. Since the stores inception the years have passed and ownerships have changed but the Turnpike Market has stuck true to tradition. Still family owned in 2014, the store is newly remodeled and boasts a wide variety of Beer, Liquor, Wine, and the largest selection of Craft Beer in Town. And of course, those famous sandwiches! So come give us a try!
