Turntable Furniture aims to improve the lives of those on very low incomes by providing them with the essentials to set up a home, re-using good-quality donated household items that would doubtless have gone to landfill.All the items that are collected are put on show to allow people to choose what they need. Turntable doesn't sell the furniture but makes a nominal charge as a contribution towards its costs.Anyone wishing to get furniture from Turntable must: a) be in receipt of one or more means-tested benefits, b) be referred by an approved referrer and c) live in area that we cover (please visit our website www.turntable.org.uk for more information).Turntable is mainly run by long-term unemployed people who volunteer their services to develop their own skills in order to help them secure full-time employment.
