Design - Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
Turucame is a design company with the misson to resolve dicides in every aspect of our society. There is a common saying in Japan that "Cranes live for 1000 years, turtles live for 10000 years." It celebrates "longevity." We hope that our "design" continued to be used by people as communication infrastructure in our society. In addition, "cranes" is spelled "tsuru," "turtles" is spelled "kame" in Hepburn system, yet we select "turu" and "came" since "turucame" is typographically prettier than "tsurukame." The founders are Yu Morita (in charge of user experience, project management and information design) and Keiichi Tozaki (in charge of technical direction, art direction and planning solutions).
