TXP – Trixter Productions GmbH & Co. KG - was founded in 2002 by director and producer Michael Coldewey and five other limited partners. After working for many years in a cooperative context, under the same roof as its sister company, VFX and animation studio Trixter Film GmbH, since 2008 TXP has been working independently- continuing, of course, to offer First Look results in the field of VXF and animation services.A cornerstone of TXP's success in the last few years was the acquisition of all filming rights to the Hexe Lilli series of children's books. Together with the book author Knister and various co-producers, TXP has thus far produced two series of a TV programme (recently achieving some 30 percent market share) and a cinema film that enticed 1.5 million visitors into German theatres and sold in some 70 different countries. Currently the second theatre film is being produced for release in 2011 – two more TV series are in the production preparation phase.Concomitantly TXP is co-producing successful animation films for the international market, including recently ‘The Dragon Hunter‘ in France and with a budget of approximately 13 million euros. In addition to the solely digital productions, in the development of future projects TXP has specialised particularly in linking live-action films with digital worlds and new technologies, acquiring the relevant rights as well. Together with financing experts Tilo Seiffert and the brothers and producers Nikolaus and Claudius Lohmann, a growing network of independent directors, producers and partner firms as well as new locations in Los Angeles, Berlin and Cologne, in the future TXP aims to further stretch its technical limits as co-producer and independent producer in connection with strong partners, drawing its public into as yet undiscovered worlds both small and large.
